Elbow patches
How to make a patch on the elbows in the shape of a heart
This photo is an interesting workshop offers us to create beautiful hearts patches on the sleeves of a sweater. Moreover, the method chosen is very unusual – it is felting wool. For those who are unfamiliar with this form of needlework (and for me as well), it will be very informative to watch)))
All you need is a wool sweater, a small piece of a sponge, a heart-shaped mold, some colored wool and a felting needle.
Wearing a sweater, fasten a small piece of tape or tape 2 cm below the elbow as shown in the photo. After removing the sweater, put the sleeve on the sponge.
Place the heart mold in such a way that the lower pointed part is in contact with the scotch tape. Take a small bundle of wool and evenly place it in our heart. See photo.
So, our goal is to create a drawing on the elbows in the form of a heart using felting. We take a needle and begin to roll))) The principle is as follows: we pierce the wool along the pattern, so that small worms of wool appear on the inside of the sweater. Try to keep the needle exactly at right angles. We work very carefully and carefully. Your goal is a flat wool surface.
Remove the form and gently with a needle to put the protruding fibers in the pattern. If, suddenly, you have shown voids in the figure, patch them by adding a little wool.
Carefully remove the sleeve from the sponge. The photo shows a view of the heart from the front and back of the sweater. To complete it, it is worth smoothing the elbow patches with a steam iron.
Well, is not it lovely !? Personally, I got the idea, and you?
